TO GET TO THE CAMPUS

The campus is located at 29 avenue Robert Schuman

Alternatively you can choose to stay in Marseille, which is approximately 30 minutes away from Aix by bus (allow 1 1/2 hours for the entire journey). This option offers a wider range of accommodation choices, usually at a lower cost, in France’s second-largest city, which has a distinct character compared to Aix-en-Provence. However, ensure that you book accommodation in the city center of Marseille or near one of the two metro lines (both of which serve Gare Saint-Charles). The recommended accommodations listed below are within a 20-minute walking distance from Gare Saint-Charles.

From Aix-en-Provence

ON FOOT: The campus is within walking distance from downtown Aix (approximately a 15-minute walk). From Cours Mirabeau, simply continue straight ahead and take rue Laroque, located next to the Béchard calissons shop. Then proceed along avenue Malherbe, avenue Benjamin Abram, and finally avenue Robert Schuman, where the university is located at number 29. The entrance to the law faculty is at number 3.

BY BUS: Take bus no. 7, heading towards “P+R Krypton”, and get off at the “Schuman” stop. The bus stops are located near the Rotonde (“Rotonde-Bonaparte” stop) or a bit further down, across from the bus station. The bus ride from the city center to the “Schuman” stop takes approximately ten minutes. You can pay directly on board with your credit card (single trip: €1.20, book of 10 tickets: €9).

From Marseille

BY BUS: At the bus station (located within the Gare Saint-Charles) take bus no. 50 towards “La Beauvalle” (journey: €7, book of 10 tickets: €56, youth pass under 26: €2 for 24 hours). Allow 30 minutes for the journey and get off at the first stop: “La Beauvalle“. The university is a 5-minute walk away: take rue Keller then rue des Trois Maries. If you take the direct bus, get off at the Aix bus station, the university is a 15-minute walk away (walk up the bus station platform, cross the avenue des Belges, take the rue Albert Charrier which leads you to the avenue Robert Schuman, which you will take on the right.

BY TRAIN: From Gare Saint-Charles, take the TER (regional train line) to Aix-en-Provence (do not choose “Aix-en-Provence TGV”!). The journey takes 45 minutes (one-way ticket: €9, reservation on the SNCF website by clicking here). Leaving the Aix-en-Provence train station, take avenue Maurice Blondel to the right, then avenue Robert Schuman to the right.

PARKING

PUBLIC PARKING: You can park at the Krypton park-and-ride facility (24 hours: €3.50) and walk to the campus (5-10 minutes via the footbridge on the other side of the bus station) or take the bus n°7 to the “Schuman” stop.
